Sales Manager
The Sales Manager serves directly under the Director of Sales to successfully develop and deliver creative and competitive DMC and event solutions for our clients while maintaining a superior level of service.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business leads through sales calls, industry functions & hotel events
- Accountable for responding to phone calls, emails and new leads within 24 hours
- Sustain positive relationships, building rapport with clients, hoteliers, suppliers, and staff
- Understanding of the DMC & Events industries and possess ability to sell the corresponding services
- Accountable for a sales goal with applicable bonus structure
- Provide excellent customer service and adhere to all Destinations by Design company service standards
- Prospect and actively seek out programs to achieve maximum revenue potential
- Plan & host client lunches, meetings, happy hours and presentations
- Attend industry and client related networking functions
- Effectively communicate information through written correspondence and oral communication with the client, hotel / venue contacts and internal team members
- Conduct meetings with internal teams to build basic and customized proposals as well as proposal revisions and follow-up
- Represent Destinations by Design on sales calls, sales trips and local industry events
- Attend site inspections of new venues and new activities to expand industry knowledge
- Responsible for all other aspects of proposals set forth by the Destinations by Design sales service standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Sales in the hotel, event and / or hospitality industry with a minimum of one (1) year DMC experience
- Possess high-level negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management with attention to deadlines
- Flexible hours including nights, holidays & weekends required
