Destinations by Design, Inc. (DBD) announces that after almost 26 years with the company, Tami Hance, senior vice president of Destinations by Design, Inc., will be leaving DBD in April 2017 to pursue a new career focused on non-profit and philanthropic efforts. Hance will remain active in the company over the next six months to aid in the transition.

“I love DBD. This was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make and it did not come easily. After almost 26 years with DBD, I’m ready for a career change. I am excited to take the same passion and energy that I put into helping build DBD and use it to fuel a philanthropic leadership position,” said Tami Hance, senior vice president, Destinations by Design. “Destinations by Design provides an environment where team members are empowered to be creative, while designing and producing exciting event and DMC experiences. The company is well- positioned with a strong brand, a new 130,000+ sq. ft. office and warehouse complex with state of the art fabrication studio, as well as, a business model that is second to none in the Las Vegas event industry.”

Hance has played a leading role at DBD since 1991 and has held positions in both operations and sales before becoming a shareholder in 2007 and Senior Vice President in 2014. During her time with DBD, the company has grown from three full-time employees to over 100 full-time team members, being named a Top 25 DMC for the past three years by Special Events Magazine and is the largest special event and destination management company in Las Vegas.

“Smart, strong and determined; these are just a few of the words we’ve used over the years to describe Tami Hance. When she started with us in 1991, it became clear that she was special and destined to play a pivotal role in making DBD what it is today. We are going to miss Tami, but we are also excited about her new career path and the contributions she will be making to Las Vegas in her non-profit and charitable endeavors. Caring, hardworking and charismatic; Tami is truly a special woman in our community and we are certain she will continue to do great things. We cannot thank her enough for all she has done,“ said Joyce Sherman, president, Destinations by Design, Inc.
