Working with the Venetian| Palazzo to organize the details for one of the most extraordinarily lavish dining experiences was a welcomed honor for the team at DBD. The Grand Banquet is one of the most extravagant culinary events in Las Vegas. Installed in The Venetian’s Grand Colonnade and stretching an astonishing 153 feet in length, the black glass tables were set for 150 guests which felt palatial yet intimate. The table scape displayed collections of elegant black vases and exquisite Lalique crystal vases showcased purple mini calla lilies, Picasso mini calla lilies, and white orchids as well as towering glass cylinders with floating candles.
The Grand Banquet was certainly one to remember when culinary talents like Thomas Keller, Curtis Stone, Jérôme Bocuse, and Vikran Vij (along with others) were on hand producing dishes. Keeping with the event’s Le Grand Voyage theme, the dishes were inspired by global cuisine and the diverse backgrounds of the chefs creating them. Only Las Vegas could produce a culinary event of this magnitude under one roof with such a star-studded lineup of chefs, vintners and luxury fashions, and only Destinations by Design, in partnership with The Venetian | Palazzo, would be the creative event design firm to win the prestigious award.
